13th October is a day celebrated to mark how people and communities around the world are reducing their exposure to disasters, and awareness of opportunities for mitigation measures. At IAS we join the global community to celebrate this day, showcasing how our work has helped improve livelihoods of many people living around semi-arid areas.

Mukujia Farmers Water Project

Mukujia Self Help Group is a group working in the capacity of a CBO having twenty members and more than five groups affiliated to it and being in a process of upgrading to a Community Based Organization (CBO). The group is working in Maragwa Location in Tharaka North Sub County, Tharaka Nithi County but concentrating more in Kamaguna Sub Location.
